This past week my travels took me to Cibola National Wildlife Refuge This is an area of marshes and desert that border the Colorado River along the Arizona, California border. There were thousands of Sandhill Cranes, Canadian Geese and Ducks. It was a little chilly in the morning for people from Arizona (40’s) but we bundled up and got through it. A little joke for my friends living in the sub 0 climates. All in all it was a good trip and well worth the effort.
A Greater Roadrunner. Common in Arizona, this was my first capture of this bird. Most of you know him from his stint on the Looney Tunes cartoons, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner.
