A few weeks ago I visited the West Fork Trail in Oak Creek. This area has been closed since last June because of the Slide Rock Fire. I expected it completely burned out but was pleasantly suprised that the trail itself wasn’t effected that much. I know there are other areas in the canyon that were hit hard and will take years to recover. I went with my friends Carol Freshley and Tom Davidson. It is a treasure, the whole area of Sedona is a place everyone should visit. Too bad we didn’t get to go up there today.
