This week I thought I would share some flower photos.
This is a Morning Glory taken at the Botanical Garden. Using Topaz Impression I blurred the background with a nice painterly effect.
This was taken at Hewitt Canyon east of Phoenix. I think it might be a Firecracker Brush but I’m not sure. Here again I used Topaz impression on the blurred background that was taken with my 70-200 and an extension tube to get that really close up look.
This is a Prickly Pear Cactus taken with my 24-105 lens. I used a motion blur to make the background a little more interesting.
This is an Easter Lilly taken on Easter… I put in a background of a wall with some texture to highlight the Lilly.
This was taken with a 24-105 using an extension tube and lighting it from the upper left hand corner with a 580 EX Speedlite. The idea was to get a shallow depth of field that highlighted the texture of the flower. I like the colors that are subtly permeate throughout the photo.
This Orchid was taken with a black background and using Photoshop I added a glow to soften the colors.
This Barrel Cactus was taken using my 70-200. Just another Pretty Picture.
THANKS for your photos. They’re beautiful! Bet you got up early in the morning to get these pictures when it was lots cooler. Love your website! STAY COOL!!!!
