Starting at Morrow Bay and driving north through Big Sur is just breathtakingly beautiful. This time of year the weather is usually foggy but we lucked out as the fog lifted fairly early in the morning. The best shot of the trip was taken by my wife Louise who waited at the hotel sipping hot tea looking out at Morro Bay Harbor at sunset while I was on the other side of Morro Rock trying to get the shot with the sun hitting the rock. Well as the sky turned red she was in the perfect spot with her iPhone.

Thanks Jim
Makes me realize how great is our God!!
Such beautiful scenery and photos. Kudos to your assistant, Louise, on her amazing shot!
Yes it is a reflection of God’s beauty. Louise has a great eye as you can tell if you see her quilts.
Beautiful pictures ! I’d love to see that area someday.
It is an amazing area. Quite pricey though so save up. I never thought I would get a $16 hamburger.
I’ve spent time here……..had an uncle who lived there, worked many years at a nearby prison. It is a glorious beach, and I also love San Luis Obispo…….did you and Louise go there too?
Hope you are both back to 100% health……. love, judy
Yes we took a trip to San Jose for Christian’s graduation and then back down to Disney land with Bill’s family. It was a fun time and now we are back in warm AZ.
OUTSTANDING!
These photos are awesome! Love the fog & stillness of the water, the surf, clouds, & the water. THANK YOU for sharing!!!.
Besides the beauty, it was nice to be cool with the temps in the 60˚’s
LOL! My spouse outshoots me all the time. You got some great shots! Moro Bay is a fun place to photograph, but not easy. Thanks for reminding me how beautiful the area is. And thanks to Louise!
Yes she has the best eye in the family. Comes from all that quilting and decorating.
