This photo was taken on 15th Ave and Dobbins near the Arizona Humane Society. I see this lady most mornings walking the dogs. I think she has 12 dogs but there might be more.
The next photo is a sunset from Buena Vista Lookout on top of South Mountain. I like the textures and all the colors of the sky and there is usually a pretty good crowd there enjoying the view.
Turning the camera north I get a good view of Phoenix with clouds building up in the north at early sunset. Another view of the city is this Black and White from 35th Ave just south of Dobbins with a 400mm lens. a 1.4 extender attached to my Fuji that has a 1.5 crop factor equals an effective reach of 840mm. Squaw Peak or Piestewa Peak is in the background. This time of year we have lots of afternoon cloud buildup which is more interesting than our typical blue skies with not a cloud in sight. You can see the Westward Ho Tower on the left. This 16 story building held the title of the tallest building in Arizona for 30 years until 1960. Although it is not like NY or Chicago we have a few relatively tall buildings.
The last photo is a dust storm near my house taken last Sunday on 35th Ave south of Dobbins facing South Mountain. It was a beautiful afternoon and I was about to go hit some golf balls when I got an alert on my phone of the upcoming Dust Storm. I could see it coming over the mountain so I headed south to get the best photo I could.
