There are certain times of the year that we photographers enjoy, such as Spring with all the wild flowers are adorning the desert landscape, late summer with all the clouds and storms, and winter time with the snow dusting of the desert. This time of year is the Orm Dam Indian Rodeo. The reason this rodeo is so special is because they let us move around with a lot of freedom to get the good shots. A lot of the other rodeos in Arizona are very restrictive of where you can go or even if you can bring in your camera. The Indian rodeo is coming up on Saturday, so I decided to go over my previous photos to see where I can improve and what seemed to work. Here are some of the better shots from past years.
Let me know what you think.
OUTSTANDING!! Truly Outstanding. I marvel at your skills.
Great shots! I think my favorites are the 6th and 13th photos. I like the horse bucking in #13 with all hooves flying!
Joe, I like #13 a lot as well. I’m partial to #2 because of the expression of the horse and the framing of the rider with the lasso.
