I decided to move to the Fuji XE-2 system forsaking my Canon in most instances. The new system is about half the weight and affords me more opportunities to shoot. Being smaller it is less obtrusive bringing a lot less attention. I like to shoot landscapes which meant hauling a heavy camera, lenses, tripod etc. which was a pain for a lot of my body parts. Now I have a camera bag about 1/4th the size and a lot lighter. I love the image quality and being mirrorless I can see the shot before I take it where the mirror in a DSLR always blocked the final exposure. I am now shooting a lot more jpegs which takes up a lot less memory on my hard drives. There is a preset that lets you choose different film types such as Provia, Velvia, Astia, Different Monochrome and it will create all the film types within your one shot which means a lot less time processing on the computer and more time to go shoot. The final reason is it is just a fun camera to shoot with. I am still keeping my Canon 7D II and long lenses for things that move fast such as birds, sports and planes. Here are some initial shots with the Fuji. All but the last photo of downtown Phoenix were right out of the camera with just a touch of contrast adjustment.

These are great photos to show off a new camera. It appears to have a wide dynamic range and detail. I keep looking at the mirrorless option but cannot fall in love with the Sony and I want the megapixels!! Get over the megapixels, Carol!!! LOL Thanks for sharing. Good to see you shooting again.
I am being blown away with this camera. It seems sharper than my Canon L Lenses and it is so much fun to use. The new chip that just came out is 24 Megapixels and will be in my future. They also upgrade everyones firmware so an old camera becomes new again. The film choices are superb and I’m just getting started on that part of it.
