Navajo Nation Storms

On our way through the Monument Valley area during a late afternoon storm I came across this beautiful scene. I was captured by the sharpness of the spikes as they reached for the sky along with all the colors and contrasts of the threatening sky.

The Navajo Nation covers over 27,000 square miles and is home to over a dozen National Monuments. To give you an idea of its scope the area is larger than 10 of the 50 states in America. There is such beauty everywhere you look with large landscapes and glorious colors. I look forward to going back there soon.
