The October issue of Arizona Highways lead story was “Autumn in Arizona & Why It’s Better Here Than It Is in Vermont”. Although they have really good photos in the magazine there is no way that is is as colorful as Vermont. I grew up just south of Vermont in the Berkshires and everywhere you looked in the fall you were surrounded with color. You would walk out your front door and be surrounded by many red, yellow and orange colored trees. In Arizona you have to drive 2 to 3 hours to find the color and hope you get there at just the right time. This is my contribution to the views of Fall in Arizona. The areas covered were Flagstaff, Oak Creek Canyon Cottonwood, Workman’s Creek and the Tonto National Forest.
