Starry Night

The other night I was out with Don Price and some of his friends  to photograph the Milky Way. We went about 60 miles west of Wickenburg towards Alamo Lake to get away from the light of Phoenix. Don is an excellent photographer and was kind enough to show us the do’s and don’ts of night photography. Check out some of his photography http://www.pricelesspixs.net

  1. I have wanted to do a Milky Way shot for a long time. Something about the eerie other-worldly shape of the Joshua Tree and the out of this world Milky Way just seem to go together. Surprising to see so much light pollution from so far away! I appreciate night photography and am glad to see you get started in capturing such images. Thanks for sharing your start.

We’ll have to go out there and do a repeat performance. I would want to do more light painting of the foreground.
